John Thomas Smith, 68, of Springfield, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2023. Born on March 5, 1955, John was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He worked as an electrician for over 40 years, touching the lives of many in the community. John is survived by his wife, Mary; two children, Kevin and Lisa; and four cherished grandchildren. He will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, and love of sailing. A memorial service will be held at Springfield Community Center on October 22, 2023, at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Springfield Charity Fund.
