It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Emily Anne Thompson, age 27, of Springfield, on October 10, 2023. Emily was a beloved daughter, sister, and friend, whose radiant spirit touched the lives of everyone she met.

Born on March 5, 1996, in Springfield, Emily was a bright and creative soul. She graduated with honors from Springfield High School before pursuing a degree in graphic design at the University of Arts. Emily had an incredible talent for turning her visions into reality, and she spent her career working as a graphic designer for a local firm, where her work was both admired and celebrated.

Emily was known for her kindness and generosity, always going out of her way to lend a hand or offer support. She loved spending time with her family and friends, hosting gatherings and creating unforgettable memories. Her laughter was infectious, and her ability to connect with others made her a cherished friend to many.

Emily is survived by her loving parents, Mark and Susan Thompson; her younger brother, Jacob; her close-knit circle of friends; and her loyal dog, Bella. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, whom she adored.

The family is devastated by this unexpected loss and invites friends and loved ones to join them in celebrating Emily's life. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at 2:00 PM at the Springfield Community Center. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Emily's honor to the local animal shelter, a cause that she was passionate about.
