It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jane Elizabeth Smith, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who left us peacefully at the age of 67.

Jane was born in Evergreen, Colorado, and was the youngest of three children. She dedicated her life to her family, nurturing a home filled with love and laughter. Jane was a proud alumna of the University of Colorado, where she earned her degree in Social Work. Her career was marked by her compassion and dedication to helping those in need, serving for over 30 years at the local community center.

Apart from her professional achievements, Jane was a creative soul who found joy in painting, gardening, and fulfilling her natural curiosity about the world through travel. She was known for her kindness, infectious laugh, and generous spirit, always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Jane's greatest accomplishment was her family; she is survived by her two children, Michael (Sarah) Smith and Emily (David) Johnson, and her four beloved grandchildren, Olivia, Jacob, Mia, and Ethan.

A memorial service will be held at Pine Valley Community Church on November 5, 2023, at 2:00 PM, followed by a celebratory gathering of family and friends to honor Jane's life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Evergreen Community Center, where Jane devoted much of her time and passion.

Jane's adventurous spirit and loving nature will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends, leaving a legacy of compassion, creativity, and love.
