It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Louise Anderson, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who departed this life peacefully on October 22, 2023, at her home in Springfield, surrounded by family and the love of Christ.

Mary was born on April 15, 1955, in Willow Creek, USA, to the late John and Helen Wilson. She lived her life with unwavering faith and an open heart, embodying the teachings of Christ in all her actions. A devoted member of Pleasant Grove Community Church, Mary inspired many in her congregation through her passionate service, her warm smiles, and her deep prayer ministry. She had an innate ability to connect with people from all walks of life, always offering her kindness and wisdom.

Mary was a nurturing mother to three wonderful children: David (Jessica), Emily (Michael), and Sarah (Joshua), who were her greatest pride and joy. She poured her love into every moment spent with her grandchildren: Liam, Ava, and Noah, creating cherished memories that will carry on in their hearts forever.

In addition to her family, Mary had a profound impact on her community. She volunteered countless hours at the local food bank, organized charity events, and was an active participant in various outreach programs, always encouraging others to share the love of Christ through compassion and generosity. Her unwavering faith saw her through life’s challenges, and she leaves behind a legacy of love, hope, and service.

Mary is survived by her loving children, grandchildren, and her beloved sister, Martha (. She was preceded in death by her parents and her cherished husband, Robert Anderson, who passed in 2018.

A celebration of Mary’s life will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Pleasant Grove Community Church, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the church’s outreach program, which was close to Mary’s heart.

Mary Louise Anderson will be remembered for her joyful spirit, her deep faith, and her unyielding love for her family and community. Her life was a testament to the power of love and faith, and she will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.

Rest in peace, dear Mary; your love and legacy will forever light our path.
