He went on to earn his degree in Environmental Science from the University of Illinois, driven by a deep passion for nature and a commitment to environmental preservation. Johnathan dedicated his career to advocating for sustainable practices, working tirelessly with various non-profit organizations to promote awareness and action for the planet.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Johnathan was a devoted friend and loved by many. He had a gift for connecting with others, offering a listening ear or a shoulder to lean on. His friends often marveled at his ability to light up a room; he had an innate talent for making even the most mundane moments feel special. He loved camping in the great outdoors, playing guitar around a campfire, and sharing stories of adventure with friends and family.
Johnathan is survived by his parents, Margaret and Roger Carter; his siblings, Sarah (David) Thompson and Michael Carter; his treasured nephew, Noah; and countless friends who will forever cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his beloved dog, Max, with whom he shared many wonderful adventures.
